Rewilding 25% for UK

The climate emergency makes new demands on land. Responding to the global climate crisis, it requires allocating more space for nature. This is why we refer to a Green New Deal for Nature, in order to allocate 25% of the UK’s land primarily to carbon sequestration and extreme flooding reduction through rewilding processes. Along the preliminar research, a series of ideas had been questioned.




What is rewilding?

Human society and nature are the two main forces that shape landscape. Because two-thirds of the terrestrial surface of the planet is covered by agricultural land, livestock grazing areas, and managed forests, human activities clearly play an important role in creating landscapes.
Productive landscapes are the means through which re-connecting human and natural realms.
